In his day job, Adam Marcus directs a research laboratory focused on cancer biology at Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute. But at least twice a month, Marcus packs up his microscope and takes it to rural and urban schools across Georgia. He says he wants to show kids that science is more than textbook illustrations and eccentric movie characters. He’s opened the eyes of more than 3,000 students in 200 classrooms so far.
