Okay, so Atlanta’s not Paris, but you can pretend you’re Owen Wilson and travel back to the Jazz Age, when the likes of Clark Gable, Carole Lombard, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tallulah Bankhead, and Charles Lindbergh mingled at the Georgian Terrace Hotel. When the Fox Theatre opened across the street in 1929, the hotel used to roll out a red carpet for visiting stars to cross Peachtree. The lobby’s Livingston Bar is still a glam hangout where you can settle under an umbrella-shaded table, savor a barrel-aged Negroni, and watch the theatergoers.
