Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria

| The design of Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria embraces its historic setting and the authentic flavors of its coal-fired fare. |
| Conceived as a "down and dirty" pizzeria in the classic New York City style, Max’s features an open kitchen, exposed structure, brick walls, and a rustic bar constructed of heavy timber columns original to the building. The décor is a mix of industrial and rustic elements with antique French factory lamps and a large communal oak table. The focal point of the interior is Max’s coal-burning pizza oven, located within the restaurant’s open kitchen. In the foreground, an oversized pizza prep table bustles with activity to reinforce the theater of pizza creation.
Pedestrians are drawn into Max’s through its dining piazza. Festoon lighting, a gurgling fountain, and a working herb garden work in concert with the aroma of hand-crafted pizza to say “Welcome to Max’s." |
