• Contestants registered for a casting call by going to atlantamagazine.com. Registrants received a confirmation notice.
• Registered contestants attended the casting call on March 19. Only contestants who registered in advance, had a confirmation notice, and showed proof of being 21 or older were admitted.
• At the casting call, a panel of judges from Atlanta magazine and the Atlanta fashion community met with the contestants.
• A group of 10 finalists was selected at the casting call.
• These finalists were photographed at the casting call.
• All participants in the casting call signed a model release allowing their images to be posted online and in print.
• The finalists’ photos will be posted online at atlantamagazine.com through April 20, 2009.
• Visitors to atlantamagazine.com will be able to view the images and rate the contestants.
• Judges will take the online rating into consideration but
the final selection of the winner will be by the editors of Atlanta magazine.
• The winner will be notified by May 4, 2009.
• The winner will be photographed for the July 2009 issue of Atlanta magazine. Wardrobe and hair styling will be provided, as will a makeup artist. Max Factor® products will be used in the photograph.
• The winner must be available to attend the unveiling event held May 14.
• The winner will be publicly announced at the event May 14.
Entrants in the contest agreed to these conditions:
ELIGIBILITY AND ODDS OF WINNING: No purchases necessary to enter. Contest open to legal residents of the United States except family members of employees of Atlanta magazine, Emmis Communications, affiliates, subsidiaries, and successor companies. Finalists and winner must be 21 years of age or older.
RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: One entry per person. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Atlanta magazine and Emmis Communications assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages, loss, or injury resulting from participating in any contest or acceptance or use of any prize. Atlanta magazine is not responsible for the late, misdirected, lost, misplaced, illegible, mutilated, or postage-due entries.
DISQUALIFICATION AND PENALTIES: All participants agree to be bound by these rules. Atlanta magazine, in its sole discretion, further reserves the right to disqualify any person for (i) violating any of these rules, (ii) tampering with the entry process, (iii) gaining an unfair advantage in participating in the contest, (iv) obtaining winner status using fraudulent means, or (v) engaging in otherwise unsportsmanlike, disruptive, or threatening behavior.
