MEG ADAMS INTERIOR DESIGN
Homestead Seventeen-Year-Old Girl's Bedroom
|

Meg Adams
|
This is a room designed for the little girl all grown up. She is no longer the girl who plays with toys and dolls. She is the young lady who will go away only to return one day to dress for her wedding. The room is shaded in milky plums and platinum taupes. A French crown adorns the canopy suited only for the princess whose childhood days have passed so quickly. Simplicity abounds. The room has been appointed but delicately edited. The upholstered bed and hand-carved Berger chairs complete the French inspiration for the design. Contemporary art was selected to balance the haute design, but tradition prevails. Simply put, no frills.
In 2002 Meg Adams opened her design firm in Atlanta and since then has been awarded numerous design excellence awards from ASIS. She has participated in the Atlanta Symphony’s Decorators’ Show House for the past seven years. Adams’s Street of Dreams project received the Gold Award for Best of Show, Best Design, and Best Individual Rooms. Her work has been featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Atlanta magazine, Traditional Home, and Better Homes & Gardens. Her style ranges from contemporary to traditional. Her design projects include private residences, historic homes, commercial and hospitality projects.

Maxine Hyla
|
Maxine has selected a light palette of soft blues and browns to create
an English country manor feeling of a time gone by. She has used warm
woods, touches of burnished metal, and traditional styling to
complement the masculine feeling of wing chairs and a burled-elm desk
from England.
Maxine Hyland, formerly design director for Flack’s Interiors, has a
passion for excellence in design and a career spanning twenty-five
years. Her office is located in the heart of Atlanta’s design district.
Her work includes large principal residences, mountain vacation homes

This year’s showcase home is a perfect stage to show
what we do best. Everything about our display focuses on comfort,
value, and familiarity. Our porches and patios this year feature tried
and true designs. Everyone can remember sitting in a porch rocker or
Adirondack chair and drifting off into space. The outside areas will
enhance the overall comfort of the home.
Casual Image is Atlanta’s oldest outdoor furniture, fireplace, and
grill shop. We are a twenty-two-year-old local, family business. Over
the years, our customers—many of whom we know on a first-name
basis—have become part of our family. We have always offered a relaxed
shopping environment, and take great pride in being able to show
virtually everything currently on the outdoor living market. Our
showrooms and outdoor displays are designed to showcase hundreds of
options. People visiting us for the first time are always amazed with
the amount of choices they have. We focus on style, quality, and value.
We also offer in-home design. It has been our pleasure to work with the
Roswell Woman’s Club for many years. Please visit us online at

You’re late for work and race to your closet to grab something
to wear. Your favorite pair of pants seems to be missing in action,
your shirt is a wrinkled mess, and you can’t find your other black shoe
to save your life! Hmm, wonder how much the boss will frown if you show
up wearing sweats to work? Getting dressed in the morning has to be
easier than this. That’s where a team of closet experts at the Closet
Factory can step in and help you get rid of your morning mayhem. A
beautiful, well-designed closet can extend the decor of your home into
your dressing area. We can create beautiful cabinetry in the space to
match your home, so that you no longer go from a beautiful master
bedroom and bath into a disheveled closet. By assessing your clothing
and organization needs, our design team will create a custom solution
based on your budget and personal style—such as a crisp white finish or
rich mahogany— that can double your usable space. Visit Closet Factory
at their Roswell location at 4000 Northfield Way, Suite 400 and on the

Cottage Kitchen and Casual Dining Room

Caroline Coleman, Karran Gloer IFDA, and Melody Tripp, owner,
Just Imagine Interiors
|
The cottage kitchen is a classic, fresh, rustic space. It is made to
feel open and airy through the use of cool, pale colors, lightened
wood, and reflective surfaces. The fabrics are fresh and fun, and the
furnishings are a mix of transitional and rustic pieces. The furniture
arrangement creates a space to cook, kick back, and enjoy.
Karran Gloer is a problem solver first and a designer second. She
has a keen sense of color and is particularly fascinated by the ways in
which space might be transformed using an unconventional approach. |
