Atlanta magazine nominated for eleven CRMA awards

Well, not to toot our own horn too much, but today was an exciting day in the office. The finalists were announced for the City and Regional Magazine Association’s annual awards (the Oscars for city mags), and Atlanta magazine was nominated eleven times in ten different categories:

Food or Dining WritingBill Addison
Personality ProfileJustin Heckert for “Her Own Flesh and Blood”
Feature Story — Justin Heckert for “The Town That Blew Away”
Writer of the Year — Justin Heckert; and our new senior editor Tony Rehagen also scored a nom for this award, but only for his work at Indy Monthly (so we can’t take credit)
Excellence in WritingMay (our anniversary issue)
Spread Design — two of the five finalists were for Eric Capossela‘s work (“Fail” and “Mad about Madea”)
Designer of the Year — Eric Capossela
