  Cathy Anderson joined the Atlanta magazine team in the spring of 2011 as a recent transplant from New York City. Raised in Jacksonville, Florida, she attended Florida State University and quickly made her way to Manhattan after graduation to follow her passion for the fashion industry. While there, she did editorial work for such major books as People StyleWatch, CosmoGirl, and J-14 magazine, where she assisted on countless photo shoots, wrote about the latest teen heartthrobs, and developed her keen eye for achieving great style while on a budget. In addition to writing the style pages for Atlanta magazine, Anderson also spends her time expanding her vegetarian cookbook collection and obsessing over the Seminoles during college football season.
