Myrydd Wells (pronounced "merith") joined the Atlanta magazine staff in late 2013, moving 600 miles north from the sunny coast of Southwest Florida, where she worked as a copy editor and page designer for the Naples Daily News. Prior to that, she worked in her hometown as an intern and later contributing editor for Indianapolis Monthly, where she wrote about Pokemon, Lil’ Bub, fringe theater, and any other quirky topic she could find.
