As she greeted guests in the platinum VIP reception at the 22nd annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares benefit inside the American Cancer Society building downtown, the event’s long-time co-chair Lila Hertz mused for a moment Monday night about sustainability. “That’s what it’s all about, I’m even wearing sustainable lipstick tonight!” Hertz cracked. “Each year, this evening requires the efforts of so many donors and patrons. I’m really proud of the work we do but this really speaks to the power of giving back to Susan G. Komen [Greater Atlanta Affiliate] and the Atlanta AIDS Fund and the work they’re doing.”

Hertz, looking chic in a Christian Dior frock, got a sneak peek of the runway show, curated as always by Jeffrey Fashion Cares namesake and founder Jeffrey Kalinsky. “A lot of the show is fun,” she previewed. “But a lot of it is serious as well and I love that there’s something for women of all ages.” (For more on the style behind the event, read Mary Logan Bikoff’s interview with Kalinsky here.)

VIP passes to Live with Kelly and Michael went for $6,000, a Vogue trip to Fashion Week fetched $12,000, and two seats inside Sir Elton John’s annual Oscar party raised $16,000. In less than six minutes. Former Fulton County assistant district attorney-turned-Bachelorette reality star Andi Dorfman and her made-for-TV fiancé Josh Murray strolled the catwalk as Dorfman modeled a Cathy Waterman custom diamond and ruby-crusted ring—that went for $6,500 during the live auction.
