Cox Self-Ejects

You’ve now had time to properly grieve: Beloved Bobby, Braves skipper for 24 seasons—during which time he accumulated 14 division titles, five National League pennants, one World Series, and more ejections than any other manager in MLB history—has decided to call it quits after next season, at the age of 69. Sad for Braves fans, good for sports geeks. I, for one, will miss his noble hobble from the dugout to the pitcher’s mound, and the way he curses himself when the baseball gods aren’t on his side, which, for more than a quarter century, hasn’t been very often.
