Singer/songwriter/death-defying aerialist Pink surprised everyone Thursday night when she showed up at famed Atlanta dive bar landmark the Clermont Lounge. The pop star is scheduled to bring her “The Truth About Love” tour to Philips Arena tonight.

But on Thursday night, it was all about the singer enjoying some downtime with her motocross racing hubby Carey Hart and members of her band and tour crew.
According to Clermont club-goers, the singer born Alecia Beth Moore and Hart had fun dancing together as Atlanta blues rockers Tom Hill and the Midnight Suns played for the crowd.

The Clermont is back on the A-list celebrity sighting radar—thanks to visits by famous folks like Robert DeNiro, Woody Harrelson, and Anthony Bourdain. It’s popular with actors filming shows here, like the casts of “Vampire Diaries” and “Drop Dead Diva,” known to pop by for a little post-work PBR can-crushing with Blondie.

But we’re guessing Pink didn’t need directions to the Ponce de Leon Avenue haunt. The singer lived here in the 1990s when she was getting her start as a recording artist as an early protege of LaFace Records co-founder L.A. Reid.

By 9 a.m. Friday, what could be the world’s worst amateur camera phone celebrity photo of Pink snapped inside the dive bar had racked up 41 shares and 285 “likes” on the Clermont Facebook fan page.

Oh, and naturally, one gripe from a fan who in his posted comment reminded the club about a Clermont conduct rule posted at the entrance: “Hey no cameras allowed.”
The administrator for the Clermont Facebook page promptly responded, “We are allowed to take pics at our own bar.”
To be exact, the sign also instructs: “No Cry Babies!”
