MISSION
This year, 1.7 million Americans will learn they have cancer. Thankfully, Atlanta is home to several of the nation’s top cancer treatment centers. For those who come to our city seeking lifesaving treatment, affordable lodging can be an insurmountable challenge.

Since 1998, the American Cancer Society Winn-Dixie Atlanta Hope Lodge has provided free housing to more than 14,000 cancer patients and caregivers, helping them save more than $42 million.

Hope Lodge offers a solution to cancer patients when the best treatment options are far from home. It’s not simply a place to stay, but it’s a home away from home helping to alleviate the strain of travel and some of the financial and emotional burden faced by families.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Last year, Hope Lodge provided 29,500 free nights of lodging to more than 800 cancer patients and caregivers, saving families about $3 million in hotel expenses. But after 20 years Hope Lodge is showing its age. It has become necessary to renovate and expand due to high demand. Please join the American Cancer Society in helping to save and improve the lives of cancer patients. Not having to worry about where to stay and how to pay for it allows them to focus on the most important thing—getting well.
