Missed out on the chance to buy a brick when Centennial Olympic Park was under construction? Or want to add your name to another spot of Downtown’s tourism central? With the College Football Hall of Fame’s new fundraising campaign, fans can both show their support and own a piece of the Hall.

Commemorative building blocks sold through the Legacy Brick Program range in price from $100 to $300 and will be placed inside and around the new facility. Proceeds will be used for the Hall of Fame’s construction and upcoming displays, activities, and programs.

The College Football Hall of Fame, originally launched in 1951 by the National Football Foundation (NFF), is relocating to downtown Atlanta from its former location in South Bend, Indiana. Projected to open in August 2014, the Hall will be located across the street from Centennial Olympic Park in what used to be the Georgia World Congress Center parking lot.

“The brick campaign is a way for football fans to literally be a part of—even in—the Hall of Fame” says John Stephenson, president and CEO of the College Football Hall of Fame.

For $100, you get a four-inch by eight-inch brick that will be used in the walkway into the Hall, while $200 gets you an eight-by-eight brick in the same area. For $300, there’s a four-inch by twelve-inch brick in one of the interior walls lining a replica football field.

Bricks can be inscribed with personal messages, and for supporters who might be at a loss for inspiration, the HOF provides a handy list of examples for all occasions, such as Mother’s Day (#1 Eagles Fan / #1 Mother / Miranda Taylor) or wedding anniversaries (OUR JOURNEY/ BEGAN AT A / HUSKIES GAME / IN 1985 – 28YRS / & STILL STRONG! / LANE & DI ZEKE).
