Spotted! Evander Holyfield TKOs cukes at Spice Market

We’re going to go ahead and theorize that like the rest of us, dieting makes former heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield a scant bit cranky. Spies tell us the calorie-counting cruiserweight ordered the Market Salad this week during a visit to Spice Market inside the Midtown W hotel.

According to the Spice Market website, the petite $7.50 menu item consists of lettuce greens, radishes, cherry tomatoes and a sesame seed vinaigrette. The champ chomped up additional sides of cucumbers, carrots and ranch dressing and reportedly scared the other customers after “blurting out” the following:”The Real Deal has to eat!”

Since we weren’t there to witness this, we’re going to guess that the other Spice Market diners were possibly frightened by one of two things: A) The spectre of such a hulking man consuming such a welterweight menu selection or B) The kinda creepy third-person reference to his own boxing nickname.

There was no immediate word if the former Zaxby’s pitchperson rolled through the drive-thru for a chicken finger plate on the way home.
