Water to Wine: Hawks Make Good Trade!

653

The Hawks have traded two pointless point guards for a very useful one. Acie Law—the puggish pariah of Coach Mike Woodson—and Craig “Speedy” Claxton—who played all of 15 minutes last season for $5.76 million (that’s $384,000 per minute played)—have been sent to Golden State for a guy who can score 20 a night, and run the point if no one else will (ie. Mike Bibby or Flip Murray leaves). A 29-year-old guard named Jamal Crawford. That’s worth some unrestrained applause, Hawks fans. Hopefully tomorrow night’s NBA draft will bring another pleasant surprise from General Manager Rick “Wait For It” Sund.
