Heirloom Market BBQ

Cody Taylor and Jiyeon “JiJi” Lee, the young owners of this tiny barbecue joint, have achieved instant cool status thanks to their unusual cross-cultural vision backed by impeccable culinary skills. The space is adorable, with a single community table and a few ledges overlooking a kitchen that features two smokers as brightly colored as video game characters.

On the menu, heirloom pork from Riverview Farms, juicy-tender beef brisket, and a slew of fresh sausages meet kimchi, hot sauce, pickled radishes, and tempura-style Korean sweet potatoes. The only drawbacks are the limited schedule—the place is closed Sundays and Mondays—and the sometimes-maddening lines.
