White House

“How long have you been waiting tables here?” we asked our server, Ella Miller. “A long time, honey,” she sighed. “Twenty-four years!” The answer didn’t surprise, given that the restaurant—the original Buckhead diner—opened in 1948 and looks like it was last redecorated in the pretty-in-pink 1980s. It may be discreetly tucked into a nondescript strip mall on Peachtree Road, but it is well known to the local elites, who keep the restaurant busy until it stops serving breakfast at 2:30 p.m. Look to the dishes with Greek influences to give your morning a little opa.

ORDER THIS: The Olympic omelet, filled with feta, tomatoes, spinach, peppers, onions, and mushrooms and served with a side of tzatziki (spiced yogurt sauce); fried chicken fingers over biscuits with sausage gravy.
