Before Watershed relocated from
Decatur to the base of the Brookwood condominium building in Buckhead, the appeal of its brunch—once an ode to the South with dishes like shrimp and rice, country ham steak, and chicken hash with corn cakes—had plummeted, a victim of apathetic execution. The move prompted executive chef Joe Truex to successfully rebuild the menu: It still acknowledges the region but specifically emphasizes his Louisiana roots.
