Jennifer Levison, owner of Buckhead comfort food bastion Souper Jenny, has a knack for creating cozy atmospheres. Cafe Jonah—named for Levison’s son—opened in 2011 in a 1960s bungalow just off West Paces Ferry Road. The pace is less frantic than at her soup mecca, though parking is cramped; look for a space on the street. Decide on your breakfast from a counter display and then find a table in one of several rooms painted in cheering colors and adorned with flamboyant paintings.
ORDER THIS: Atlanta’s best bowl of oatmeal, speckled with flax seed and goji berries (ask for yogurt and a sprinkling of granola on top); daily changing quiche, especially the one most recently pulled from the oven.
