Lisa Spooner and Kevin Clark’s breakfast-and-lunch joint became the de facto neighborhood haunt of Reynoldstown when it opened in 2010. Each morning its wood-paneled booths and chrome barstools fill with farmers, cops, food industry professionals dropping in before their shifts, and a few suits tapping rhythmically into their smartphones. The restaurant prides itself on using local vegetables (some from its own garden), but you’ll find more evidence of such efforts on the lunch menu; breakfast is mostly a straightforward montage of egg dishes, pancakes, and biscuit sandwiches. Look out for specials like Bramlett Farms trout, the same fish that Bacchanalia serves in its four-star dining room.

ORDER THIS: The Comfy, an open-faced biscuit topped with boneless fried chicken and sausage gravy; omelet of the day, particularly appealing in summertime when it includes ripe local tomatoes.
