It may not boast the racks and racks of options that you’ll find at a big-box store, but what the Sentimentalist does have is an intimate, romantic vibe and staffers who shower brides-to-be with personal attention. Housed in a Westside bungalow, the shop is fashion-forward, with vintage pieces as well as indie labels like Carol Hannah and Elizabeth Dye (where owner Gabi Lee cut her teeth). Lee co-owns the shop with her mother, Krista, and along with their lead stylist and sales manager, Rhiannon, they can advise on everything from hair and makeup trends to flowers to photographers. The Sentimentalist does custom orders, and nearly all the lines it carries are exclusives for the bride who wants to stand out—and isn’t that all of them? 1655 Defoor Avenue, thesentimentalistatl.com
