From Betsy Riley, editor, Atlanta Magazine’s HOME
I wrote my first story about Restoration Hardware in 1998, after it opened in Lenox Square. Admiring the Arts and Crafts–style casegoods, I realized how stupid I’d been to dismiss my grandparents’ Mission buffet as “old-fashioned.” Ironically, the brand that once charmed me with its down-to-earth authenticity has now erected a six-story palace on Peachtree Road. But while today’s RH may be more glamorous and ambitious than its mall-store incarnation, the company still makes a darn comfortable Chesterfield sofa. 3030 Peachtree Road, restorationhardware.com
