Our wild and crazy fashion shoot with The Real Housewives of Atlanta

NeNe: "Do you think we're going to top [The Real Housewives] of New Jersey?"
Lisa: "Of course, that's not even a question--the queens will take back their crown."
And so went the endless quotable quotes and bon mots sprinkled by The Real Housewives of Atlanta--Kim, Sheree, NeNe, Lisa, and newbie Kandi Burruss--at our fashion shoot with the women yesterday at Buckhead's historic Pink Palace.
The fashion spread, shot by award-winning fashion photographer Alex Martinez, will be featured in our September issue. And let's just say the ladies were game for anything and everything. Including a little fun with a "pool boy"--otherwise known as a male model who was a very good sport, especially as he was made over by Kim. "Do you look in the mirror and thank f--king god every day?" she asked.
As real estate agent Rosina Seydel, who helped us procure the amazing location, watched, she remarked, "This is going to get Buckhead talking!" Catch our September issue to see for yourself; we'll also be releasing a gallery of fantastic outtakes by our photo coordinator, Caroline Kilgore, then as well. Until September, here are a few shots from the day; they feature the women talking to entertainment news show Extra, who was on set also capturing the action for an upcoming segment.
Season two of The Real Housewives of Atlanta begins July 30. As NeNe said yesterday, "You're going to see some relationships form and some relationships FIZZLE."

What an incredible day! All the women were amazing and unique and I loved every minute of the day. Alex took some jaw dropping photos and they are going to look so fantastic in the issue.

I must say Kandi seemed very sweet and down-to-earth--but I guess we'll see how she mixes it up with the Housewives come July!
