King of Pops has its own farm, a bar, and of course, numerous pop stands. But perhaps their most fun concept of all is their Christmas tree delivery service, Tree Elves, now entering its fifth year in business.

Owners Raj Mittal and his wife, Anu, spent almost two decades working in Italian and Mediterranean restaurants and, alongside chef Morey Anderson, will focus on “fresh and healthy” Italian dishes.

“I like a steak with personality,” says Tony Manns Jr. To him, no slab of meat fits that profile better than a ribeye, characterized by a generous marbling of fat that adds rich, robust flavor and juiciness.

A former Oklahoma quarterback and Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns player, Nate Hybl is opening a fast-casual restaurant called Gusto! in Brookwood October 31. Located at 1935 Peachtree Street, Gusto! asks guests to choose from a salad, brown rice bowl, or sandwich with either chicken, portabella mushrooms, or shrimp.

Come February or March, Storico Fresco, the handmade pasta shop that opened in Buckhead last year, will move to a new location and expand its offerings to be more like an Italian grocery.

Thirteen Pies will open in Buckhead Atlanta at 250 Buckhead Avenue on October 7. Serving lunch and dinner, this full-service pizza joint offers a menu of twelve designed pizzas ranging from wild mushroom and leek to garlic and sage white.

Perhaps best known for his now-defunct Latin restaurant Pura Vida, Hector Santiago is leaving his post as executive chef at Anne Quatrano’s Abattoir to work on developing his own restaurant at Ponce City Market....

Scheduled to open October 14 for dinner and October 20 for lunch, Gypsy Kitchen will focus on Spanish-inspired shared plates created by executive chef Randy Lewis.

Drive toward Decatur from Midtown on Ponce de Leon Avenue and you might notice a small brown building on the north side of the road with the initials TDH on it. Then again, you might not. Fit between a barber shop and a mechanic, across from Krispy Kreme, a food stand by the name of Tom, Dick & Hank quietly opened six weeks ago.

Garnish & Gather, a local company that creates weekly ready-to-cook meals (similar to Blue Apron and Peach Dish), has announced its chef lineup for the rest of 2014. Garnish & Gather packages ingredients for any of five different recipes a week, but once a month, it features a special recipe created by one of Atlanta’s top chefs.
