Tiffany and Amber Davis
A Daily Candy editor and a GSU grad share their style
10/1/2009
Tiffany is the twenty-seven-year-old editor of DailyCandy Atlanta, a popular lifestyle website dedicated to in-the-know locals, and her sister Amber (right) is a twenty-two-year-old Georgia State grad and erstwhile
Vogue intern looking to work at a fashion magazine. You
wish you could share clothes with them.
Jumper: I got this in New York a couple of years ago. For some reason it reminded me of an episode of
Moonlighting. It still has a waist to it but it’s not overly girly.
Gladiators: I feel more comfortable being bold with a shoe and [wearing] a plain outfit. A shoe is more of an art thing.
On taking risks: When I was in high school I remember wearing a plaid kilt skirt over jeans, or wearing green shoes. I did it to make myself chuckle. Sometimes it’s good, and sometimes it’s not.
Sweater: I’m definitely a girly girl. I like ruffles, I like bows.
Heels: I got these [Proenza Schoulers] for $80 at a sample sale in New York. They were originally, like, $800. And they actually fit, which never happens!
On shopping: My favorites are Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, Gap, anywhere a student can afford—that pretty much dictates my clothes. But it’s fun. You learn to be creative on a budget.
