With 10,000 more locations than their closest competitor, Starbucks dominates the morning coffee market. Now, the Seattle-based chain wants to tempt late-night customers with another sort of beverage: alcohol.

A select number of Atlanta stores already offer small, rotating selections of craft beer and wine after 4 p.m. and small plates like truffle mac and cheese and goat cheese and artichoke flatbreads. The company is looking to expand its Evenings program further, with one target being the 867 Peachtree Street location. The store received approval for its liquor license in January, and, according to a company spokesperson, “[Starbucks] is in the very early stages of considering several stores in Atlanta for the evenings menu and the permit filing is just one of many steps.”

Atlanta was one of the first markets to test the program in 2012, starting with stores on 1801 Howell Mill Road and 1203 West Paces Ferry. Three more have since joined the Evenings program, including locations at 734 Spring Street, 650 Ponce de Leon Avenue, and 133 East Court Square.
