Aesthetically speaking, Monday Night is arguably the best tasting room inside the city of Atlanta. The beer is priority number one, of course, but a pleasant vibe—ambient lighting, cozy café-like seating, lots of room so you don’t have to sweat your butt off in the summer months—is also wonderful. A projector silently beams King Kong on a wall, not far from the shuffleboard, and if you’re so inclined bring a reject tie to leave on the tie wall. The Drafty Kilt Scotch ale (smoky, chocolaty, and super smooth) and Eyepatch IPA (crisp and citrusy) were the first to hit taps—and perennial favorites—but do yourself a solid and branch out. The Clip-On series, available for a few months at a time, features variations on year-round beers—if you didn’t think the Scotch ale could get any smoother, the Nitro version proves it can. Serrano pepper expands the possibilities of their IPA. Check the chalkboard for fresh limited releases, too.

Good to know: Who knew that a casual bible study meet-up in a neighborhood garage would lead to one of the fastest growing breweries in town? Back in 2006, Jeff Heck, Jonathan Baker, and Joel Iverson would hang out after work and brew beer at home. By 2011 the beer guys with ties had launched a new business.
