Tony Morrow’s BBQ

Morrow, chef-owner of the Pecan restaurant in College Park, opened his second business in December 2012. (Barbecue runs in the family: Morrow’s parents own a joint in Decatur, Alabama.) This may be the swankiest take on a ‘cue joint around. Exposed brick, marble counters around a full bar, dangling lights, and cowhide booths give the place a speakeasy vibe. Early in its run, the kitchen cranks out solid barbecue, neither extraordinary nor disappointing. Focus on ribs and save room for a homemade peach or apple fried pie.
