Room & Board’s 2015 collection is full of personality

Our fave was the Lars Lounge Chair (and they’re giving one away free!)

The other day I had the pleasure of touring Room & Board’s new 2015 collection with R&B design associate Sandra Pawliger. This year, the company has introduced more “personality pieces,” according to Pawliger. This means more lighting, handsome menswear fabrics, and lighthearted items like occasional tables based on vintage yarn spools. I had no idea that R&B has partnered with the Shade Store to offer custom window coverings. But my favorite new piece is the Lars Lounge Chair, which is featured on the cover of their catalogue. Look for it in the debut issue of Atlanta Magazine’s HOME, which comes out later this month. The Lars Chair, constructed of leather and cherry, comes in two colors, cognac and smoke. As are most of R&B’s products, this chair was made in the U.S., specifically by Vermont-based Newport Furniture. The masculine chair ($1,299) has a distinct midcentury vibe; and, as was common during that era, it was designed to look good from all angles, says Pawliger. Best of all, through February 11, R&B is conducting an online sweepstakes offering a chance to win a Lars. Enter now here.
