Slow Food Atlanta is partnering with the Global Growers Network to present Atlanta’s first International Farm Tour this Sunday, June 24. The Network is dedicated to helping approximately 250 farmers who found refuge in Atlanta after being forced out of their countries because of war, genocide, and persecution.

The tour will start at the Clarkston Farmers Market and will travel to eight farms within a five-mile radius. Participants will experience thirteen international farming cultures that range from Egypt to Congo to Iran to Burundi. All proceeds will benefit the Global Growers Network, which works to connect these farmers with economic opportunities across the city.

Self-tour tickets are $25 with a bike tour that starts at 11:30. Should you choose to drive, start anytime between 10:30am-5pm. VIP tour tickets are $60 and include a bus tour (leaves at noon) and lunch.

Visit the Global Growers Network website for more information.
