Local, organic corn with kernels as sweet as candy make their season debut in mid-July, but watch for earworms, says Michael Hendricks, manager of Indian Ridge Organic Farm in Clarkesville, which sells at Peachtree Road Farmers Market. Cut off the top three inches of the ear before peeling back the husks to remove any critters.
