Pending final approval of their liquor license, Billy and Jenn Streck hope to open their latest restaurant tomorrow in Inman Park. Located in the Inman Quarter development across from MF Sushi, Hampton & Hudson is slated to fill a few gaps in the area’s growing restaurant scene. “What you see a lot of in Inman Park is restaurants that are a little higher end,” Billy says. “We want to offer somewhere where people can just come in and hang out, have a business lunch, or just have a drink before going to BarTaco or Beetlecat.”

The kitchen, lead by executive chef Jason Hall, plans to serve playful takes on pub food. The menu will feature small dishes and shareable plates, and include items such as steak tartare tacos with a potato chip shell, hot chicken biscuit sliders, and fish and chips. The bar menu will include a selection of craft beer and wine, as well as “approachable and affordable” cocktails. “We’re not that place where it’ll be a 15-minute cocktail,” Billy says. “They’re designed to be quick.”

The 3,500-square foot restaurant, inspired by Billy and Jenn’s travels through New York, is accented with reclaimed wood, leather booths, and a custom light fixture from local designer Tobin Hagler. There are also private dining areas and a covered patio.
