In early October, Peach & the Porkchop quietly opened in Roswell across the street from Sweet Apple Elementary School at 12040 Etris Road.

Owners Chuck Staley (who owned a small bar and grill in Colorado) and Eddie Hoover (who has experience working for Buckhead Life and Darden Restaurants) work the front of house, while executive chef Matt Meacham—a Roswell local who worked at Alon’s, Indigo, and Aspens—focuses on twenty-four “Northern-style” sandwiches, a tribute to Staley’s favorite delis and sandwich shops growing up in Pittsburgh. Each sandwich—from the Garr-O corned beef to the Big Bologna—has at least half a pound of meat on it.

Other menu items include Coca-Cola-braised North Georgia pork belly, PEI mussels, chicken tenders, pickled beet salad, tuna salad, blackened red grouper, vegetable pasta, and New York strip.

The restaurant offers twelve beers on tap and more than fifty brews by the bottle, including Jailhouse, Jekyll, and Monday Night Brewing Co. Wines come from California, Italy, France, and Argentina. Select cocktails are available.

The 170-seat restaurant features reclaimed wood from Wisconsin barns, a semi-circular coppertop bar, an open kitchen, and a patio.
