Save Mom from another Whitman’s Sampler with a box of these jewel-like Jardí chocolates. Handcrafted by Jocelyn Gragg, the former pastry chef at Restaurant Eugene, the two-bite confections are as delicious as they are gorgeous, with playful flavors like yuzu citrus or a PB&J-like white chocolate ganache with sesame seed paste and raspberry. Bonus: Her treats are made without any preservatives, additives, or dyes. Gragg doesn’t have her own retail store, but she will ship directly to your front door. Order a 12-piece sampler for $28 at jardichocolates.com. —Evan Mah

Kristen Hard wants to save chocolate, one cacao tree at a time. The owner of the bean-to-bar chocolate store Cacao has returned to Inman Park with this outpost in Inman Quarter. Customers can design their own bars, choosing from toppings like gummy bears, pecan pralines, and goji berries. For every bar sold, the store will donate a cacao seedling to a farmer. In recent years demand for chocolate has outstripped supply, and rare, low-yield cacao trees like the cacao criollo are becoming harder to source. 299 North Highland Avenue, twiggandco.com —Drew Podo
