Since debuting in April, Atlanta’s first tequila company, Goza Tequila, has made its way into 50-plus liquor stores and more than 250 bars. By law, the agave is grown, distilled, and bottled in Jalisco, Mexico, but Sandy Springs native Jacob Gluck runs the rest of the operation from a Buckhead office. The slender bottle and friendly, cartoonish label by pop artist Burton Morris are a departure from the typical squat, masculine look of most brands. “We focused on creating a fun design that also pays homage to the traditions of Mexico and tequila,” says Gluck. Goza is available in blanco, reposado, and añejo.
