Spuds That Make a Meal

Cocktail destination Leon’s Full Service (131 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur) features poutine ($8) on its late-night menu, which begins at 10 p.m. The Quebecois snack consists of fries doused with gravy, dappled with cheese curds, and crowned with an oozy sunny-side-up farm egg.

Green Sprout (1529 Piedmont Avenue), a Chinese vegetarian sleeper in Ansley’s Clear Creek Mall, makes an unusual but comforting stir-fry of Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into batons, tossed with garlic and pickled mustard greens ($8.75). Think of it as entree-sized Asian hash browns.

Among the nearly two dozen Mumbai-style street food noshes at Chat Patti (1594-F Woodcliff Drive NE), the aloo tikki with chole ($5.49) stands out as particularly ambrosial: crisp mashed potato cakes atop chickpea curry with drizzles of mint and tamarind chutneys and yogurt raita.
