“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Episode 414: “No Bones About It” recap:
As our weekly postdoctoral research into alcohol-enhanced anger management therapy opens, Phaedra Parks, NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey and interloping ex-con “RHOA” wannabe Marlo Hampton are still in South Africa and absorbing the life lessons provided by their field trip to the AIDS afflicted orphanage.
The ladies, who had previously self-segregated themselves into the “Gossip Girl”-esque cliques “The Talls” and “The Smalls,” now bow their heads at dinner inside the posh resort where they’re residing and count their blessings. “It made me want to do more,” Kandi allows. Adds Phaedra: “We forget how fortunate we are.” Finally, after much consideration, Marlo reveals the impact the outing had on her: “This shrimp is raw. I need the waiter, please!” It is perhaps redundant to mention this is the same woman who brought 29 pairs of designer ...

Tavern 99 patron Bren Allison is $200 richer this morning after submitting the winning “Worst Love Story” essay entry in the Buckhead nightspot’s anti-Valentine’s Day contest this week. Allison’s cautionary tale involves multiple chance encounters with her local pizzeria’s bartender, first at the pool hall across the street from her home and later in the row behind her at the movies.
Was this fate? Cupid’s handiwork? Kismet? Did we mention she won the contest?
Allison says all became clear when she finally agreed to a post-movie libation with said bartender and his obsession with her Crocs-adorned feet inspired him to blurt out, “Can I massage your feet?” Allison’s official response: “I jetted the eff out of there as fast as my sandals would allow.” At 3 a.m. the next morning, Allison awoke to discover the same bartender drunk and at her front door, leaning on the buzzer. It was then ...

Golden Globe winner Drew Barrymore will slide into the red leather chair opposite Robert Osborne for the first time beginning March 3 when Turner Classic Movies debuts Season 12 of "The Essentials" with an airing of Billy Wilder's iconic 1959 comedy "Some Like It Hot" and a late night presentation of Rob Reiner's 1985 cult classic "This is Spinal Tap." Praises Barrymore of the heavy metal musical satire: "I couldn't believe how groundbreaking this film was with its mockumentary style. They're really having this perfect improv. I just appreciate it more and more and more and more."
The line-up of films Barrymore and Osborne selected for the weekly Saturday 8 p.m. series is, ahem, eclectic to be sure. Among the flicks featured in the 2012 edition of The Essentials? The 1927 silent era "Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans," a pair of Richard Dreyfuss flicks from the 1977, "Close Encounters ...

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Episode 413: “Make It Rain Down In Africa” recap:
As our episode opens, Phaedra Parks, NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey and interloping ex-con “RHOA” wannabe Marlo Hampton are still mopping up from the Marlo and Sheree’s graphic recreation of the “Twilight Breaking Dawn” birthing scene. As you may recall, at the height of the diva dust up and in a grand demonstration of her cultural sensitivity and in-depth knowledge of Bravo’s target demo, the clue-impaired Marlo let fly with a certain f-word.
“You don’t use that word,” Cynthia reflects. “I’m really surprised she went there. Marlo has quite a few gay guys in her camp.” Make that had. Currently, the only thing Marlo has is a series of increasingly whiny voice mails from GLAAD and a dinner invitation from John Rocker awaiting her back in Atlanta.
Sheree, Kandi and Phaedra arrive at ...
