Eddie Owen Presents
at Red Clay Theatre

In May 2012 the owners of Eddie’s Attic, the Decatur listening room where John Mayer and Sugarland got their starts, fired its founder, Eddie Owen. Don’t cry for Eddie, though. He had already focused his energies on Red Clay Theatre, which couldn’t be more different from the Attic (it’s got 250 seats and plenty of free parking) but still adheres to Owen’s First Commandment of Music: Shut up and listen. That mandate helps bridge the distance between seat and stage, where some of the artists Owen first brought to Decatur—like Shawn Mullins and Patterson Hood—perform.
