Fort Valley State University

Growth at this historic college includes a $3.1 million, 8,000-square-foot biotechnology center for alternative-fuels research and a $13 million student center. FVSU’s Zoo Atlanta partnership provides hands-on experience in exotic animal care. FVSU also hosts a state facility designed to house animals during emergencies. The Cooperative Developmental Energy Program, the only program of its kind in the nation, offers dual degrees in math, engineering, chemistry, biology, health physics, and the geosciences.
