The Lovett School

AA_L8670Founded in 1926 by Eva Edwards Lovett, The Lovett School is an Atlanta independent school serving children in kindergarten through grade twelve. With an emphasis on the whole child, Lovett provides integrated experiences in academics, arts, athletics, and service through an education grounded in learning, character, and community.

Lovett’s reach extends beyond the Buckhead neighborhood—students come from 68 different zip codes across Atlanta—and even into Central America, where Lovett maintains 825 acres of Ecuadoran cloud forest as a preserve and research center.

AA_L6462Exclusive research partnerships with the Georgia Aquarium and Atlanta Botanical Garden give our students authentic research and lab experiences in marine biology, botany, and genetics.

Lovett was also one of the first schools in Georgia to offer AP Chinese, the culmination of a Chinese studies program that begins in the Lower School. Additionally, makerspace labs, which includes access to the school’s theater set workshop, modeling software, 3D printers, laser cutter, and a lathe, allow students to tackle real world problems.
