Hae Woon Dae

One of the stalwarts of the metro area’s Korean barbecue scene, lauded for many years because it uses live charcoal—delivered in buckets by strapping bussers—for tabletop grilling. The prices have increased and the servers seem to have grown more surly in recent years, but it remains a great late-night destination (open until 6 a.m. every night but Wednesday) for grilled marinated meats and creative pan chan (the tradition bevy of side dishes that includes kim chi).
