Stefan’s Vintage Clothing

This local institution carries a well-ordered range of clothing from the 1900s through 1970s, from evening gowns, opera gloves, and costume jewelry to blazers, bowling shirts, and bow ties. Owners Rebecca Birdwhistell and Tom Murphy bring home treasures from auctions and estate sales all over the country; recent finds include brightly patterned Pucci blouses and whimsical hats by a milliner who designed for Marlene Dietrich and Elizabeth Taylor.
