Profile

In February 2011, Graham founded the Atlanta Underground Market, a monthly pop-up food gathering featuring talented cooks and artisans—most of whom don't operate out of a brick-and-mortar location. The feisty California transplant based her private club (which anyone can join; just sign up on her website) on similar clandestine jamborees she attended in San Francisco. Thirty to forty rotating vendors sell their dishes for a few bucks (bring cash) at each event, the location of which is announced the night before. Past sites include Sweet Auburn Curb Market and the Goat Farm, a former cotton gin factory in Westside. We've sampled Senegalese lamb roast, grits on a stick, stuffed beef tongue, “sushi” made of fresh fruit and white chocolate, and darling little cake pops.
