Jim Gibbs, founder of one of Atlanta's largest landscape companies, has been quietly cultivating his 300-acre Cherokee County masterpiece for more than thirty years. The annual spectacle starts with fifty rolling acres of daffodils, followed by waves of cherry blossoms, dogwoods, azaleas, roses, hydrangeas, daylilies, and more. In fall, mature maples turn vibrant hues in the forty-acre Japanese garden, one of the nation's largest. Gibbs has transformed the property into a bona fide tourist attraction, complete with open-air trams, cafe, and gift shop.
