After more than fifty years of selling only to designers, the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center has finally opened to the public. One visit, and you may never go back to retail. Don't expect bargains here. Do expect museum-quality antiques; mind-boggling selections of fabrics, tile, light fixtures, and rugs; and finely handcrafted reproductions. Most showrooms still require you to make purchases through designers, but you can browse to your heart's content.
