Dr. John W. McBroom, a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” every year since 2013, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, a certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and Society of Gynecologic Oncology. In addition to his fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and his postdoctoral research fellowship at NCI, he has been published in multiple peer review journals and has presented at national meetings. He also performed the first robotic HIPEC (heated intraperitoneal chemo perfusion) procedure in the state of Georgia.
Alongside Leesa Marie Harris, PA-C, and Emma McLoughlin, PA-C, Dr. McBroom provides individualized, compassionate, and comprehensive care to women afflicted with gynecological malignancies. Their practice specializes in treating ovarian, uterine, and other gynecologic cancers and has particular expertise in minimally invasive surgical procedures, including the Da Vinci robot. Dr. McBroom utilizes molecular tumor analysis, sentinel lymph node mapping, and genetic analysis, as well as national clinical trials available through the National Cancer Institute.
