The Atlanta Student Movement was a catalyst for widespread nonviolent demonstrations in Atlanta. University, business, political, and church leaders formed an adult committee in support of the students, and helped as the movement grew from sit-ins at lunch counters to a widespread boycott of Downtown shops and restaurants. These documents from the archives of the Auburn Avenue Research Library offer a taste of the impact that the movement had on Atlanta's political and social dynamics.
