Clark Atlanta University

Among the largest of the thirty-seven United Negro College Fund schools, Clark Atlanta is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and offers thirty-eight degree programs through four schools. The university was formed by the merger of Atlanta University and Clark College, two of the oldest African American institutions in the country. Its noted alumni include civil rights leader Ralph David Abernathy and poet James Weldon Johnson.
