Our March/April issue is a special bonus issue that revisits our favorite remodeling stories of the last five years. Did you know that renovation pays off better in Atlanta than in almost any other part of the country? According to Remodeling magazine’s latest report, local homeowners who’ve remodeled a bathroom generally recoup 90.5% of their investment at resale. The issue is packed full of remodeling ideas—from adding a second story to updating a kitchen or installing a water conservation system. And all of these projects were done right here in the metro area, planned for houses just like yours!
Hopefully, given the turmoil in today’s housing market, this special issue will be as timely for you as it was for me. Inspired by these stories, I tackled our much-postponed master bath renovation. As this issue was coming together, our cultured marble was coming out. Mortgage crisis or not, we Atlantans have always been big nesters. If you are as inspired as I was, we have provided an extensive list of local renovation professionals. Time to get busy.
