Internships are open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as graduate students. The time commitment for the internship is approximately fifteen hours a week, which must be completed during the office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Internships are available during summer, fall, and winter/spring semesters. Interns will assist with the editorial components of atlantamagazine.com and its associated digital products (e.g., e-newsletters and ancillary websites). Day-to-day responsibilities will include producing web-only content; updating online feeds, listings, and calendars (usually by adding content from the magazine); and pulling together newsletter content. Additionally, each intern is expected to complete a special project of their choosing (e.g., a regular blog column, repurposing a cover story online, building a guide). A major in journalism or English is preferred, as candidates should exhibit strong writing and grammar skills. Knowledge of basic HTML is a plus. In addition to a cover letter indicating your interest in Atlanta magazine and describing your prospective career goals, send a resume with references along with three writing samples. All application materials become the property of Atlanta magazine. Please send the above materials and address all inquiries to (email is preferred): Jackson Reeves
